Council Shooting Sports

Units can reserve ranges at Tunnel Mill Scout Reservation and Harry S. Frazier Jr., Scout Reservation.

How to reserve a range

  1. First check the council calendar to see if the range you want to reserve is available. Click here to view the council calendar.

  2. Fill out the online reservation form. Keep in mind this form is just a request and does not gaurantee you the range. Once your reservation request is submitted Daniel Leathers will confirm if your request has been approved. Click here to fill out the online form.

NRA Courses

Listed below are the NRA Courses That have been scheduled by the Shooting Sports Committee for 2012. There might be some courses added, at a later date, but this is the primary listing. Those interested in a particular course should contact the CHIEF INSTRUCTOR for additional information. Deadline for registration for a course is 2-weeks in advance of the starting date of the course. A $25 deposit should be sent to the Chief Instructor 2-weeks prior to the course. The cost of the various courses is as follows: NRA Rifle, Shotgun, and Pistol Instructor Classes - $75; RSO Class - $75; Basic Pistol Class - $35; Basic NRA Instructor Class - $50. The cost of the courses does not include NRA REGISTRATION AND CERTIFICATON FEES. These fees range from $13.50 to $35 depending on your NRA MEMBERSHIP STATUS.
