Thanks to the WHAS Crusade for Children

Scouting Unlimited and its team of 149 teachers, their students, and our volunteers would like to thank the WHAS Crusade for Children’s support of Adventure Camp.  Adventure Camp is held each fall and spring for those students who are mentally, physically, emotionally, learning and behaviorally challenged.  The students enjoy a day filled with fishing, boating, music, arts and crafts, cooking, archery and other activities that are accommodated for all the campers to enjoy!  The WHAS Crusade for Children has supported our program with a grant for many years that has allowed us to cover the bus expenses for those schools that attend.  Transportation costs have risen greatly and many schools have had to reduce the number of field trips.  Thanks to the WHAS Crusade for Children, our extraordinary students are able to continue this popular field trip!  Thanks Crusade for all the great contributions you make to our community!!!

NEEDED: VOLUNTEERS FOR SCOUTING UNLIMITED

The Spring Adventure Camp will be held Friday, April 20th and April 23rd th from 9 am to 2 pm at Camp Crooked Creek. This camp is for students in our Scouting Unlimited program that are mentally, physically, emotionally, learning and behaviorally challenged. The campers are given the opportunity to participate in boating, fishing, rafting, canoeing, archery, marksmanship, arts and crafts, music and cooking. No experience is needed!!! Each station has a trained leader that will give you direction. You can attend for one day or the entire six days! Whatever will be most convenient to your schedule. We also welcome companies, church groups, and retirement organizations who are looking for a way to give back to the community!
