All proceeds will benefit all Scouts, especially economically disadvantaged youth in the Scoutreach program. This fund will provide financial assistance for Scouts unable to pay for fees, uniforms and events and summer camp fees.

In 2001, Scoutreach program was launched as a group of strategies that break down economic barriers so that any child can participate in Scouting.

Not only does the Scoutreach program make Scouting possible for inner city youth, it also provides them with the opportunity to participate in some of the greatest outdoor experiences that even non-Scouts dream of doing. This past summer, two Scouts from our Scoutreach program were able to experience two weeks at the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico.

In 2011, the Lincoln Heritage Council gave $130,000 in financial assistance to deserving youth. We will certainly appreciate your participation in this year’s tournament, not only as a player, but also as an active partner who will assist us in enlisting player teams and hole sponsors for this event.

The tournament is being held at Hunting Creek Country Club with shotgun start at 12:45 pm. The tournament will be a shamble format. Lunch and dinner are included. For more information, please call Mark Kraus, Director of Finance Services, at (502) 400-5360 or e-mail mark.kraus@scouting.org.

Lexus Champions for Charity Golf Event

The Lincoln Heritage Council is one of 180 tournaments across the country to be part of the Lexus Champions for Charity program. The year-long series culminates with the LCFC National Championship held at Pebble Beach Resorts each December. A twosome from each local tournament will represent their charity in this three day event and compete to win a portion of the $100,000 charity prize purse.
