Sporting Clays Classic

Take Aim for Scouting!

presented by Lexus of Louisville, Steel Technologies and the University of Louisville
Friday, May 18 - Saturday May 19, 2012

For the past fifteen years, The Boy Scouts Sporting Clays Classic has supported the programs of the Lincoln Heritage Council (LHC), Boy Scouts of America specifically, Scouting Unlimited, Scoutreach, and Shooting Sports programs.

Scouting Unlimited is for boys and girls in grades 1 – 12 with emotional, physical and mental disabilities. Currently, the LHC works with over 1700 kids in more than 100 schools in North Central Kentucky to deliver this program, providing special needs kids the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors.

The Scoutreach program brings Cub Scouting and Boy Scouting to boys in economically disadvantaged homes. Currently, over 2,000 boys, who otherwise could not afford to do so, are supported by the Scoutreach initiative. Funds are used to provide uniforms, books, badges, fees and, in some cases, a stipend for unit leaders in the most difficult neighborhoods of Louisville.

The Sporting Clays Classic is a rewarding experience that offers participants the opportunity to compete on a manual skeet trap course and bid on unique items at the Sporting Clays Classic Auction.
