National Youth Leadership Training

Purpose

National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is designed to have youth staff teach leadership skills to youth participants. From beginning to end, it is a YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM!

Attendees

  • Boys must be registered Scouts ages 13+ who've attended a week long Scout camp.
  • Boys are (or will be) First Class Rank by the course date.
  • The Scout must be recommended by the Scoutmaster.

Learning Objectives

The NYLT course centers around the concepts of what a leader must BE, KNOW, and DO. The key elements are then taught with a clear focus on HOW TO. The skills come alive during the week as the patrol goes on a Quest for the Meaning of Leadership.
