Scout Reservations

The Lincoln Heritage Council owns two properties in the region surrounding Louisville, Kentucky: the Tunnel Mill Scout Reservation in Charlestown, Indiana, and the Harry S. Frazier, Jr. Scout Reservation (formerly the Old Kentucky Home Scout Reservation) near Shepherdsville, Kentucky. The two combined provide nearly 1,400 acres of scouting adventure year-round. The Lincoln Heritage Council obtained both properties from the merger of the George Rogers Clark Council of Indiana, which owned the Tunnel Mill Reservation, and the Old Kentucky Home Council, which owned the Old Kentucky Home Reservation.

For additional information regarding these properties, or to make reservations at either one of them, please contact the council office at (502) 361-2624 and ask for the Business Manager.

The Rules and Regulations for Use of Facilities and Equipment is available for review online.

The Harry S. Frazier, Jr. Scout Reservation, which is the home of Camp Crooked Creek, was opened in 1988 at an initial cost in excess of five million dollars. The 1,100 acre property replaced Camp Covered Bridge, located in western Oldham County, Kentucky on Harrods Creek, which had a history spanning back to the early times of Scouting.

The Harry S. Frazier, Jr. Scout Reservation hosts a variety of facilities, including the council's summer camp, Camp Crooked Creek and a seventy acre lake along with over ten miles of hiking trails. The reservation also contains various areas to accommodate groups year-round.

A C.O.P.E. (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience) course, complete with a high and low ropes course along with a 40 foot climbing tower, is available to organizations and corporations for various teams building activities. The C.O.P.E. course is available year-round. Please contact the Council Service Center for additional information.
