The Lincoln Heritage Council, B.S.A. has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses the information gathering and dissemination practices for the Lincoln Heritage Council web site, www.lhcbsa.org, and for the Camp Crooked Creek web site, www.campcrookedcreek.com.

Information Automatically Logged

We use your IP address and domain name to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our Web site. Your IP address and domain name are also used to gather broad demographic information, and for other purposes. All access logs are kept on the server, and information will only be surrendered when absolutely necessary.

Various forms can be found throughout the Lincoln Heritage Council web sites. All information submitted will be kept by the council and not released to any third parties unless noted otherwise on the specific web page.

Online Auctions

Contact information is collected in the auction area of the web site (www.lhcbsa.org/auction/) when a bid is submitted.  The council does not collect any social security numbers, bank account numbers, or credit card information.  All bids submitted are verified by phone before they are made official.  All information collected is kept on file by the Finances & Communications Director at the Council Office.

Mailing Lists

The Lincoln Heritage Council makes use of electronic mailing lists. Users sign-up for these lists and their E-mail address is automatically confirmed. Users can also easily unsubscribe by following the instructions found at the bottom of every mailing sent via the list.

E-mail addresses are stored on the server and are only used for the mailing lists in which the user subscribed to. Addresses will not be released outside of the council and my be used by the council to contact the user if necessary. Once the person unsubscribes from a list, their E-mail address is deleted from our servers.
